Sleight of Hand

by Magnolia Moonpie

hey children
watch my eyes
magic finds the feathers,
a bird where no one's sung before—
every color's
silken shadow's
slide through these hands—
not one not two not three
all-
gasp and wonder
watch me closesly
the laughter
never leaves
my lips
and the music
never makes me sigh

...love it; how many shows do you do a day? making me a grinning sigh!

may the magic never wane. may the magic e'er keep flowing and waving such feathers as these to charm us on our way.
