Sea of Green
by Joe CramerSometimes the simplicity
is everything
and one red leaf
hangs in the balance
in a sea of green foliage.
The fading sunlight kisses
the trees
and the red leaf shines,
shivers and shakes
in anticipation
of the setting sun.
The setting sun,
the settling of the sun.
And then it's gone. 12/05/2011 Author's Note: ... while waiting on the side of the road after breaking down.....
