Universal Endings by Craig AllenThe stars begin to wink out.
The bright blue twinkle of your eye that is Sirius
The Pleiades, your musical laugh, seven pinpoints
popping to nothing one at a time as the music dies.
Betelgeuse, the red giant of your smoldering anger.
And Mira, your variable heart.
One after another they blink out.
Only darkness remains.
