Feather

by Richard Vince

She floats through the cloudless sky,
Moved by the breeze as she descends
Imperceptibly gently.

She tumbles through air that caresses her
Like a childhood duvet; like the
Earliest memories of her mother’s hands.
Her wide eyes fill with wonder as though
She were new to the world.

She is beautiful and delicate; her voice is
Like the summer breeze making
Long, Sun bleached grasses sway.

She is a fragile yet powerful
Expression of the glory of life at
Its most unconfined. She will not
Be kept grounded.

This is really beautiful Richard. Excellent descriptiveness throughout. Kinda reminds of the feather in Forrest Gump.
