marked down by Charlie Morganwe ventured, into and out of, the unknown;
he was Indy and I played sshawwn connery, his dad;
our explorations guided by a sectioned mini-atlas,
took us into a silent, yet deadly world found in any
urban park, esconched into a "middle class" neighborhood.
he slashed the air in front of me, verbally murmuring
the battle's end, as i held the rear guard for more 'bad guys'.
we won, got a Papa John's; went home and slew a cheese-pizza pie;
then went-upon the ventures of a well-deserverd dream-laden nap.
a day to mark down as marked-up to a friendship, based of binding ties;
my life-blood, centered on two running feet; hither and yon, he owns
the hill and beyond: from the todays 'til a tomorrow, i will never see. 10/30/2011 Posted on 10/30/2011 Copyright © 2026 Charlie Morgan

| Posted by Glenn Currier on 10/31/11 at 04:31 PM I can see you there - he on the hill ahead of you with his energy and your imagination attached to it. How precious a scene made more so in your sharing it. He will never forget you - might even remember this adventure in the Indie story he will write in his life. Blessings Chaz. Thanks. |
