Insomnia by Kevin FehlenInsomnia is like drowning.
A helpless floating through darkness,
An uncontrollable struggle to save yourself.
You wish to cry out but can't for you'll
Swallow more of the sorrow into your
Lungs; then you burn from the inside out.
Chaotic frenzy that's frozen in time
As you slide and drift in and out
Of consciousness.
Downward. Downward.
Into the deep abyss until finally
You've hit bottom. Finally.
Peace. 10/25/2011 Posted on 10/25/2011 Copyright © 2025 Kevin Fehlen
