an avatar...

by Charlie Morgan

i jumble the jargon to fit a ragamuffin's
head-he of another, younger-different, generation;
it falls heavily to the floor, poofs! wobbles lower,
sawdust toward heaven, gets six inches.

i am an avatar; a replicant; a same; another-
different me; God produced in his allowance of Love.
my virtual reality is flowing and fulfilled daily;
sated; sad for my Grandson's future, glad for mine
fearful of that moment when even my avatar is taken
from the gameboardEarth, our true first Heaven.

it is a life sentence; convicted for breathing, eating,
existing. your goal, during this inmate stay is simple:
Learn LOVE, then learn how to BE LOVE itself.

The young ones keep us focused, Charlie, on the important stuff. I like.

I have missed reading your poetry in my hectic life Charlie, i'm glad one of the first ones I've read when I found the time was yours!

Been years, chaz -- your words grow ever more meaningful/purposeful, missed 'em. I'm feeling the confines of gameboardEarth recently, the desert of the real... good to read your thoughts again! Peace...
