Wichita

by Alison McKenzie

I flew away from the sun that day,
Over layers of cotton-puff clouds,
Skipped along the peaks
Of uneven winds,
To land on the flats
Of Wichita.

Glad you made it safe and sound Ali. My first experience with Wichita was listening to Glen Campbell's song, Wichita Lineman. Great tune IMO. Still have the LP I bought in the 60s. :)
