EARTHQUAKE-Part 11 by Joan SerratelliFunny how things play out
Out of nowhere, an Earthquake
The phone rings
my daughter calls
wanting to know
we were safe
I wanted to know
SHE and her kids were safe
I desperately tried
o call daughter #2
he phone lines were dead
After about an hour of tourure
I got through
Daughter #2 was ok
Daughter #3
was ok-had talked
to hera sgort while
BEFORE all hell broke out
But STILL
I needed to
know she was OK
it'a ironic;
sometimes
I don't speak to my kids
for a while;
but when a crisis happens
we cling to each other
If I'm not wrong,
this is the ultimate
concept of the word
...F-A-M-I-L-Y
In stressful times,
everyone one wants
"MOMMY"

Author's Note: PS-I miss my Mom- I would have called her yesterday (and she would have told me "to grow up") LOL!
