Kim Kardashian is Gorgeous

by Ken Harnisch

Okay, I’ll grant you
That Kim Kardashian is gorgeous
And maybe there’s some truth
To the old adage about beauty
Being a product of the beautiful

It seems unfair, though
To live such a prudent, moral life
And have your offspring shoot from
The womb with warts and moles
Attached like leeches to their DNA

Yeah, yeah, everything is beautiful
In its own way. I heard the Time-Life
Album and know the lyrics by heart;
Doesn’t mean I don’t see some ugly
People in the street and wonder
What some predecessor did
To piss off God

Or maybe Kim Kardashian
Is God’s way of playing
With us mortals. You know, Him saying
It doesn’t matter what you do, my friends;
You’re the ones who think it’s how
You look that’s so important.

You got us there, Big Guy

agreed. Kim is stunning and she gets paid to be stunning.

I don't agree, but it's still an excellent write.

The poem itself is really nicely done, and I like how open the subject matter is to discussion.

The flaws in a diamond make it sparkle. Thank GOD we are not all Barbie and "Ken"! :-) My poem "Flawed Like a Diamond" my poem not in my library any more was about my lovers flaws and how much I loved them. Love unique but then that is just me. Great Write Ken! Thank goodness we are not the Creator we Americans seek such perfection outside instead of in...........

Sorry, she's just another pretty face. I do like the conversation this has started. Your last three lines say it all.
