This Light Passing Through The Trees

by Richard Davis

All the arguments
of theology matter
less than this light
now passing through
the trees on this summer
evening. This silent
sermon of light awakens
thoughts and feelings
of the sacred within me
that no words can convey,
and speaks to me
in the language
of the heart and soul.

I know just what you mean. I have a very similar response in my life to the wind.

...keen perspective, 'the light passing through the trees...' and bolstered by the first full line...an awesome write, richard.
