Somber Sonata

by Alison McKenzie

If you were my lover,
Oh symphony’s somber sonata,
I would learn to play
Every languid, lonely cell
Until our two, solid forms
Lost our boundaries
To become fluid
As one.

A sonata a lover would be privileged to join, no doubt!

Ever so beautiful! Anyone would be blessed to join in this musical marriage.
