Pithy Prayer by Kate ZimmermanLord, please forgive my simple words:
My turns-of-phrase, my worn cliches,
My prayers that go on for days without anything to say
My sudden stops.
My half-a-thoughts.
The neglecting of those several sins,
The fount of pride I keep within,
Complaints I make each day to You-
The lack of thanks for what You do.
Now, at the ending of this list,
Lord, please forgive the things I missed. 03/14/2010 Posted on 07/08/2011 Copyright © 2025 Kate Zimmerman
