body language by Maria Francescathe skateboard on the landing
the strychnine in the stew
the shiny, slipp'ry kitchen floor
the strangely bubbling brew
the loudly ticking Christmas gift
the brake line deeply frayed
the trapdoor in the foyer
the weakened balustrade
I know we've had our problems
expressing how we feel
and of late our soft emotions
have hardened into steel
so before this conversation
has run its brutal course
I think we ought to face the fact -
we need a quick divorce.

Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 06/21/11 at 12:46 PM WOW! Well played, quite lyrical actually. I can see this put to music with maybe a chorus added later on. |
Posted by Elizabeth Jill on 06/21/11 at 04:34 PM How lilty for such an aggravating description of reality's current situation... I am giggled senseless as I weep! |
