On Belly Dancing by Joe CramerTo watch you dance, and yet
softly swaying with castanet,
hips shaking, sliding,
gliding, providing
me with such a fine view.
My thoughts are all askew.
I want to touch your belly
with my tongue
as your long dark hair sways
before me. My knees become jelly
before you. I adore you,
loving this dance
that never was.
I am but Fortune's Fool.
I never took the chance. 06/13/2011 Author's Note: ... you said that your husband would probably kill me... so I ran away.....

Posted by Gabriel Ricard on 06/14/11 at 09:35 PM Great story. Expertly told. |
Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 06/20/11 at 01:47 AM I like how this could have gone in any direction, and was surprised, but equally enjoyed how it ended. Sometimes it's better to run. I agree with Gabriel...expertly told. |
Posted by Laurie Blum on 06/20/11 at 07:33 PM This is both adorably cute and very sensual at the same time. I even think the Author's Note adds to the poem. Great writing Joe! |
