My Inkwell by Julie Adamsthere's a fluttering blue butterfly within
and it sings your name
between velvet buttercup kisses
somehow
your ink has
stained me
skin stained with ink,
ink stained with blood,
blood stained with love,
love stained within;
somehow
your ink has
stained me,
tattooed beneath
my willing flesh
I kiss your tongue
where untold stories lay,
despite your telling eyes
framing love
in the kiss of your lens
somehow
your ink has
stained me,
colored glass in morning light,
a mosaic of raw emotion
glistening
love seeps into veins
true blue
even when we bleed
somehow
your ink has
stained me
my porous soul
my wanton heart
my electric veins
and you,
my inkwell
my love,
stain me, claim me
in your midnight embrace,
hold on tight until that final hour
my love is your diary, inkwell,
write your heart out
and seal it with
a kiss

Posted by Laura Doom on 08/14/11 at 09:56 AM I'm reliably crap at the tribute thing -- fortunately appreciation is not beyond me. A painfully pleasurable touch... |
