A Trip: Bought and Sold

by James Blaylock

A Trip: Bought and Sold

the mescalin had you racing through

so many visions of wild tambourines,

the dancing devils were red in color

but their fake smiles all glowed black

this wasn't a trip worth taking after all;

you'll realize in hindsight of fuel and ill,

but after that very last imp walks out

your mind's door - you can then move,

and hopefully you'll not need

another sickening reminder...

You've described a very scary place. I really like the "fake smiles that all glowed black", "that very last imp", and especially what the "wild tambourines" make me envision.
