April W.

by Lisbeth Black

my god, my gorgeous april
lady catlike curled in a chair
one bare foot and one white shoe
sandstorm hair falling everywhere
she is inevitable, incomparable.
she is everything indescribable,
epitomes of elegance summed up
in sleep, sweet rubble of consciousness
a library nap in a soft reading seat
an image i could never forget.

Thing reads like pure, beautiful poetic chaos. It's immensely enjoyable.

this is just devastatingly rich and elegant.
