Tomorrow Girl

by Gregory R Schelske

There in shadows
where affections leak
the dusty marrow
of hopes we speak-

a forever tomorrow
of a distant now
shares my sorrow
with bloodied brow-

and in those moments
where time has ceased
her fabric soul
is forever creased-

I swear to cleave
with noble clause
and rescue her
with heart unpaused

I don't know why I never noticed before. Clever and endearing, and the rhyming is not too contrived :)

Sounds like you've got the right mindset. I enjoyed this a great deal.
