Childhood Pact

by James Blaylock

Childhood Pact

okay, let's make a childhood pact
to forget what we'd seen and heard

about everything
that's adulthood...

because we don't want to shave,
or even save-up money, nor ever
see the ugliness of the gray grave

I think it'd all be so very good

Nicely captures that childhood desire never to grow up. Oh the lost boys! Waving their wooden swords against the unstoppable march of Time.
