Don't go into Pandora's box
unless you want to change your life
unless you want a taste of misery

There are things in Pandora's box
better left to themselves
though maybe you've glimpsed them
on television or the pages of a newspaper

Something gone terribly wrong
camouflaged by a smile
hidden behind the curtains
of an otherwise peaceful looking house

Pandora
just a name for any number of variables
staring hungrily at us from the darkness
