Joyful Tricks

by James Blaylock

Joyful Tricks

with my bloodhound
I follow closely behind,

asking him outright, "where's it, boy?"
but does he even know, wonders I?

'cause together we smell, look, and track
but happiness is happy to offer joyful tricks

That last line is quite charming and I suspect it really doesn't matter if you find anything, does it, you are having such a fine time together.
