their worlds by Charlie Morganthree dogs, wanting appreciation, fill my two hands;
so, how can i stake a claim on the vein of loneliness.
to exist is to experience life, a chandelier of dreams,
glittering, tinkling, mirroring blotches of childhood
across all four walls of ages, phases, a dream caravan.
a clawing for attention, for pleasure of petting;
hairy-neon signs of "welcome" to their three universes.
my head's tail wags of love caress my universe of one. 03/29/2011 Posted on 03/29/2011 Copyright © 2026 Charlie Morgan

| Posted by James Blaylock on 03/29/11 at 08:05 PM This was/is just wonderful. We, as humans, always find it useful to ponder on all of lifes many happenings. I know this very well, as I'm simply another dreamer/daydreamer myself. I get stuck on 'the wheres', 'the whens', and 'the hows' of this realm. But to a simple animal, such as a dog, this moment is to be lived and that is all there is to that. We've allowed ourselves to believe we're some kind of gods, I think, when really we need a smack in the ego. lol |
| Posted by Glenn Currier on 03/29/11 at 11:07 PM I love the way you let your imagination fly to the chandelier, etc. in that second stanza. The last 4 words are a great admission by such a humble person as you. Well.... that IS a LITTLE tongue-in-cheek... but part of humility is truth and being able to notice our own ideosyncracies is a big piece of the truth. So much more to love here... another grand piece, Chaz. Thanks. |
