Dolore Eterno

by Timothy Wilson

I was born in the heart of suffering
One cry from implosion two steps from the edge of mania
I danced in misery under the puppeteer’s free will
Cut the strings only to find the same

One day I broke free from gravity
I let the force of the tilted spinning sphere sling me into chaos
I put my fate in the hands of the devil and wished him every pleasure
Spinning out of control in a free fall towards death

I strapped myself with armor
To fight my inner everything
Plunged deep introspectively
Dove into me

I poked and prodded I blindly dissected
Only to find the same
Dolore eterno
I am the walking dead

Well, better to not get too attached to the body anyhow...you can't take it with you (so they say).

Provocative, depressive, both traumatic and dramatic!

Ditto what the 2 above me said; this is VERY thought provoking.
