Half Fool

by Marjorie Anne Reagan

My glass has for the most part
always been half full
your glass is always empty
no matter how much you take away from me
in your drunken pain
I will always have more than you
somehow that makes me sad
but alas,
my glass is always
half full
you fool
you fool
you way more than half fool

Very clever extension of the half full notion into the half fool.
