My Mula Bandha by E. A. PughMy Mula is afoot in my belly
Enwombed my children sat upon my Mula.
My Mula is a foot in my belly
Two years my children stepped on my third foot
Two pieces of my
Broken tripod flitter about waiting for a meal.
My Mulla is timidly walking
My tripod is growing back rounded
Like the tail of a blue belly lizard
My hand holds the toe of my Mula helping it along.

Author's Note: I wish I understood this myself. But, whatever.

| Posted by Jim Benz on 03/11/11 at 02:26 AM spoken straight from the mulla. sometimes I think "understanding" something is overrated. Let's just say this poem grabbed my attention and held onto it for awhile. |
