My Mula Bandha

by E. A. Pugh

My Mula is afoot in my belly
Enwombed my children sat upon my Mula.
My Mula is a foot in my belly
Two years my children stepped on my third foot
Two pieces of my
Broken tripod flitter about waiting for a meal.
My Mulla is timidly walking
My tripod is growing back rounded
Like the tail of a blue belly lizard
My hand holds the toe of my Mula helping it along.

spoken straight from the mulla. sometimes I think "understanding" something is overrated. Let's just say this poem grabbed my attention and held onto it for awhile.

This makes me laugh and marvel at the same time. I want this imagination. A tripod is such a handy feature, you know. ;)
