IV - Where Do Saints Dwell? by Austin Halling-RoweAs these heavy days have pass'd,
I have so longed to abide some master,
Or some worthy crown as from ages past,
Who upon me shone the eye of favor.
Where do saints dwell upon this Earth?
From whose Souls express all grace,
And in whose minds reside all wealth,
That by study I might command those talents,
And taste the sweetness of honor dealt
To those few who can bear its awful weight!
Yet sage and time elude as candles melt,
Cursed to mortal thought and mortal fate.
To honor alone's not the path I trod,
'Tis love of men and the eye of God.
