#5 - RELIQUARY

by Linda Fuller

Remembering is harder now
Entire years have vanished
Like smoke in fog
I turn the lights off
Quietly the dust sifts down
Upon the artifacts which fill my rooms
Antiques treated like lepers
Relegated to shadowy corners
You will find me enshrined someday

I've never been inclined to follow the poems of poets who embark on this daily task of creative masochism, but your's have been much better than what I might normally expect. In other words, they've been pretty good. This one, with its sardonic twist at the end, is no exception. In the form of an acrostic, its even better yet. nice job Linda.

This one really hits many marks for me. You build this simple scene so well; I especially like the quiet dust and that end line caps it. Thank you.
