trounced (w/ anita mac) - remixed by Morgan D HafeleI need
I need
.a pulse.
.a breath.
.FoodShelterWater.
And I already know:
I've lost.
I'm not quite sure
where to go from here
or even how I feel about it.
and She looks at me
with the Curious eyes
of a killer
she peels me apart
layer by blistering layer
burning my little paper heart
-playful-
I am paralyzed
with empty lungs
teetering on the edge of childhood
joy and severe boredom.
those lips -always
stained red- part slightly
drowning me.
desires vs. necessities--
never on the same side
of our burning bridge
these days.
I want to melt into her
and feel her nails
tear this flesh away.
Though I suppose
walking away alive
is always optional. 01/03/2011 Author's Note: i did this -remix- if you will a while ago, shortly after anita and i published the second version of trounced. i've been pretty non active lately and haven't had much to say, but this was fun all the same, and writing with anita is always a joy.
