New Year's Eve by Steve Michaelsthe new year approaches with
impetuous glee
what will become of me?
days march on like
spiders treading toward
unprotected skin
each time I blink
a new year begins
I would shed the road
I tread
if I had the go- ahead
regrets?
I've had my share
this new year
one more albatross
