XXXII - Terry's Sonnet

by Austin Halling-Rowe

To love and be loved,
In the silent face of dignity
With all my sacred shames.
A year at a time, beyond my grief,
Carrying it all too long to care,
In the constant gales of change,
To fret the simple blow of air.
Toward it, through it, beyond it,
Return again and take the first step,
For the first time. Find it, lose it, breath it,
Point the way then turn and begin.
The circumference will take me there.
To Love is the dance alone,
To be loved makes all possible again.

Author's Note: I know she reads this sonnet...from a safe distance...because it is HER sonnet! Which is OK. Be safe...Be happy! Stormy I miss you! I miss you terribly!
