time and winds by Keith D AllisonThere is a tear
in my heart
help me stand
Trees are green
strings of lights
sad
so sad
oh the tear
in my heart
help me stand
help me stand
Is there a season
that can fill
the heart
with joy
I don't know
tents along the river
people losing homes
oh the tear
in my heart
help me stand
The star of the sky
sometimes seems dim
as clouds drifting in
and the snow does fall
take this tear from my hand
know your brother
see your sister heart
take there hands
help them stand

Posted by Gregory O'Neill on 12/10/10 at 05:17 AM A most beautiful lamentation, Keith. The strongest oak of the forest is not the one that is protected from the storn and hidden from the sun. It's the one that stands in the open where it is compelled to struggle for its existence against the winds: and rains and the scorching sun. It's a tough job. Delighted. Thanks.

Posted by Quentin S Clingerman on 03/29/11 at 11:37 AM Gregory calls this a great lament. I agree. Thank God for those who look to Jesus there is joy even in the midst of deep sadness or frustration. It is looking toward the goal (Heaven) rather than the immediate circumstances. |
