Hands

by Drew May

White mountains leaping, ligaments flaring
red lubricant pumped from afar, leaves used,
alternating rhythms across an ocean of air,
uncoordinated beats from gooey membranes hammer
thoughts into the electric nether that
likewise, controls the whole thing.

Cylindrical steel leaping, oils flaring
green lubricant pumped from afar, leaves unharmed,
stereoscopic rhythms closely aligned,
syncopated beats from treated tips hammer
thoughts from the electric nether that
is all one being.

In chorus, crescendo, deployment of words,
tap-dancing different melodies played from
the same symphony.

I discover in your words a lovely and fascinating beat and rhythm. Welcome to Pathetic.

A nice traffic jam of images and language. Very nice read.

If I am remembering correctly (And apologies if I am not), but I believe you said you are a returning, once-lost member? If so, it's good to have you back! A fine way to reintroduce yourself, this.

Slip-trip the waxing and waning of palm-slick grips, cerebral cortex enmeshed with carnal intravenous canals, machinations of machine mentality, coiled consciousness, ichor imbued and esoterically ecstatic...Welcome to (or back to) Pathetic!
