Low Tide

by V. Blake

sometimes i
walk through
crowds of
ordinary
people
in the street
and i pretend i
am a deep sea
diver,
swimming
between
schools of
lonely fish.
other times,
it feels more
like they're
the ocean
and i'm just
sediment, being
washed away
or stirred into
the wake.

This brings back memories of walking the streets of NYC around Christmas. I loved and hated it at the same time. Great write Vince.

and sometimes the lake has disappeared, oh the needles we realize after the pearls round our necks are shark teeth. Nice little analysis.

Oh man, this speaks to me for sure. I like the flow and the images, but especially the sentiment. thanks Vince.
