life's a blast by Ulyss RubeyTheir short
flash-in-the-pants lives
leave only smug marks
on the ceilings and walls
of history's halls...
meaningless muddles
marking the struggles
of empty spirits-
stripped of the what-could-have-been
by self-professed prophets
of the never-will-be
and self-opinionated historians
of the never-was.

Posted by Laura Doom on 09/12/10 at 11:16 PM Fifteen minutes of flame, and the launch indefinitely delayed :> A significant blast -- think I'll go change my underlinen *gurgle*

Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 11/05/10 at 10:36 PM Very enjoyable to read in structure. A dynamic contrast between the actors and those seemedly observing and judging. Loved how this ended.
Posted by Steve Michaels on 11/06/10 at 01:33 AM I love this and congrats on POTD!
Posted by Therese Elaine on 11/10/10 at 04:54 AM This could be about a lot of things, including delayed-to-the-point-that-it's-a-bust gratification...but then, it could be about The Breakfast Club...*grin* Regardless, you made Laura have to change her underlinen -that's always aces in my book!
