i'll tell

by Charlie Morgan

he bargains; if i say 5,
he's apt to say 8.

could be molecules on the
Angel that's on the pin;

when he gavels it down with
ehnkay, Papaw? ehnkay?

i have to sever a moment
and give it to him; he'll

need it later on; at four
he's bargaining minutes.

soon, he'll bargain ideals
from across a breakfast table.

then begin the real trek
to the meaning of share.

if it don't come easy,
sometimes is too late.

Some interesting negotiating going on here. Maybe between grandfather and grandson?
