sipping on Hershey's syrup
this after 5 in the morn
remembering someone said
sugar helps migraines

I suppose it only took
one seeming suggestion
to convince me

since the apartment
is baron of nourishment
or perhaps natural sugars
this chocolate goodness
will have to do

so here I sit
my enemy is soon to rise
exhausted
not wanting to give in

to the pain
to the light
to the loss of control
on how I feel

choices are an image
a thought in one's mind

this Hershey's syrup
is my red pill
