Posted by Kerowyn Rose on 08/06/10 at 07:25 PM I feel like this sometimes. Drifting drifter. Great write!
Posted by Gregory O'Neill on 08/06/10 at 07:49 PM The thing about drifting is that wherever we find ourselves, there we are, and at any stopping place in this life, it is always good to ask whether it will be a good place from which to go on as well as a good place to remain. Good one, George. Thanks.
Posted by Charlie Morgan on 08/11/10 at 07:22 PM ...ala Hemingway, don't ask for whom the bell toll, [idiot-my word] it tolls for thee, same here George. i love you pic of the drifter...he ain't a hobo, he's Everyman, Everywoman. cool write.
Posted by Glenn Currier on 08/14/10 at 03:18 PM Yeah, I know. Drifting is something I have done a lot of in my life. Love that line about the shadow being on the soles of his feet. And the sound of all the o's (sole, follow, road, shadow, town) give me a feeling mostly. It might be emptiness or the holes I try to avoid as I drift. Like this one, George. Thanks.
