Triad (II)

by Anita Mac

There’s this bad taste
in my mouth
from everyone around me:
their stifling love and needs.

I want it to stay,
to remind me
of the you I never knew—
the you
buried inside me.

feels very familiar to me... like i've had a similar taste in my mouth before.

Very strong expression. Short but succinct. I especially like how the first and second stanzas play off of one another.
