graveside

by Darren Swift

yesterdays sun will still burn on tomorrows fields yet you shall not be there there

you walked your last no more englands green and pleasant for you the shadows did not fall fall

I cursed the clouds for fleeing the sun for shining the rain for hiding as we put you under under

the world should have darkened with grief the heavens split the moon fallen from the sky sky

instead yesterdays and tomorrows sun shone bright golden on the sorrowed scene it was my face that darkened darkened

you shall be missed missed
