Sydney

by David Cunningham

Daughter of sun and sea
The sailors call her Sydney
She sparkles a billion stars
In a bright blue galaxy

Known for graceful refine
Blessed by natural design
I remember her as a mermaid
Smiling on the Pacific shore

I am but a drop in her ocean
A molecule filled with emotion
Soaked through with a love
That I'll cherish for a lifetime

A really nice touch to this poem in structure and sentiment. Thanks and congrats on POTD!
