the rise and fall of light by Madeline Lambglow.
each sunny mechanic
wrapped in itself as I,
fluorescent.
We:
warm yellow birds.
your back in silhouette
at my sooty door.
Delume:
five fingers and a palm.
In each print,
a polaroid of James,
left in grit on my wall.
Incandesce. 05/23/2010 Author's Note: He's gone.

Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 12/20/14 at 04:42 PM I love the use of the different kinds of light bulbs in this, the "warm yellow birds" is terrific, the word "delume", the "polaroid of James," the many, many meanings one can take from the title. Congrats on POTD! |
