One Marbella Night by Julie AdamsIn the cobalt blue of night,
just before the fading begins
my body calls for his,
an early songbird in Spring.
Restless, I toss, turn, fluff pillows,
but no downy feather compares
to the taut bamboo of his body, his roots
tangle me; bind my body.
Lack. Desire. My muse is only 63
hours from my touch.
This flesh sings to his in green energy,
vibrations tingle the core, spinning chakras—
how he centers me.
Across oceans we commune;
Across phone lines we ache;
Across each other we long to be. 04/03/2010 Author's Note: Written while in Marbella (Spain)

Posted by Philip F De Pinto on 04/04/10 at 11:48 AM there is so much longing in this poem, it eggs on my own. it is poignantly written and aching with great anticipation and expectation which serve as sails to get the poetic fare, home, where the heart is. what greater voyage than one which will arrive the poet at love? |
