pity

by Maria Francesca

don't you dare
to pity me -

to make pretty excuses
designed to shelter my delicate pride;

don't make a production
of showing me out politely
through the grand double doors -

I'd rather bust up your wall as I leave
and you can plaster the hole with your pity.

the end made me laugh... i can picture someone with that look on their face as they fix up some wrecked dry wall.

What an exit that would be! Yes, why not leave a lasting impression! Well done.

Ah Maria, I pity the person more who showed you to the door and received this comment. Cute write.
