Bored Out Of My Mind

by Joan Serratelli

Sitting here,
writing a poem
Could care less
what's on the tube

Later, you'll tell me
that ALL I ever do
is watch TV

I HATE TV
I would shut it off
IF I could find
the remote

It's crappy outside
I'm in a cold sweat
I would smoke a cigarette
(if someone would teach
me how)

I feel so alone
I have no money
and no place
to go
So here I sit;
ALONE

...BORED
Out Of My Mind

Author's Note: i know it's bad, but....

there is so much soul in this piece, such flesh on the bone, such rawness to the emotion, the smoking line a fav, since the subject doesn't smoke, it speaks volumes...kudos poet, this isn't bad, though the emotional toll might feel so...hugs, jewels

"I HATE TV" We're all there with you, believe me.

Yes, TV, the soul sucking soundbite! I can feel the boredom here.

...but it's such a sweet cesspool, how could you be bored??? Honestly, this is pure truth if all might be as transparent. Good write. Thanks.
