Green Blades

by Kristina Woodhill

There! Green blades are birthing to spring
Over flutes' balanced notes on the wing;
Worms are awash,
Giant feet lift to quash
Rank remains of Ole Winter's whining

From your pen to G-d's ear! I'm so looking forwards to Spring. I saw a robin yesterday and smiled- time to get out my Mini-dresses! Yes; this Gramdmother wears Mini-dresses- can't wait! Cheerful write. Thanks for brightening this rainny cold (ish) Saturday! Well written, as always!

Yes, it's blossom by blossom, and other seemingly trivial things that Spring begins...and mighty contests are given rise! Excellent verse. Thank you.

I love how you opened with "There!"...I felt this moment just the other day...yay Spring!

I've seen it too! We have a bush/tree at the corner of the house in full bloom and I swear I want to hang a hammock in it. While the nights are cool and mosquitoes a hazy memory... Thank you for adding more joy in the greenery I have been adoring.
