Pinned and marked by Richard ColinsonPinned and marked
I try to struggle free
Attempt a magical act
With music and gin
You see there's this whole set of spaces
Where I fall down and
Remain prone
And if I can just
Reframe things
Just so
Then I see the answer
Is not an incantation
But teasing negotiation
Nurture, sympathy and
A spot of self-discipline
And I wonder how long it will take
This time around
To forget that insight

Posted by Glenn Currier on 03/10/10 at 03:55 PM Spiral indeed, sliding up and down the edges, sometimes barely holding on from the centrifugal force, sometimes letting go. I have been there... tried the magic of both music AND gin and sometimes they even worked... for a while. But then isn't that the way it is... everything works... for a while. Good write. Thanks. |
