Sundance

by Becca Morton

Just give in to the Sundance and take note of her cries.
She thought nothing could stop the rain that falls from lonely eyes.
But when she starts to feel that dance of hope and grace
Her tears, they fall backwards up her slowly aging face.

For when she came to realize that she can be truly free
She unlocked those chains of fear and took the time to see
She could dance into the night and give it all she’s got
For even when you take a fall, at least you know you've fought.

For nothing should ever hold you back from the dreams you call your own
Even when you have to dance a Sundance all alone
So take your dreams and toss them far up into the sky
And dance that blissful dance until you learn to fly.
