Drowning

by Shannon McEwen

In the jaded shadows of morning rain
The wipers abrade glass and brain
Looking through the haze of pain
Breathing in, and out then in again
Small whispers that have gone insane
Hidden amongst the daily mundane
Until few keepsakes of me remain
