i got
by Charlie Morgani awake and the man sings:
i got freedoms, got no time.
i'm thinking the same.
shadows wait to pick up their partners;
viscera in skin tight bodies. each fits;
later, they'll follow themselves home.
a nod to the Universe and i'm dressed.
already i notice,
cool winds bringing the warm change;
mountains fountain golden lava,
and i, i add nothing but worries;
tears of which feed the dryness.
traffic was arguing with itself;
trucks snarled at tiny cars,
cars zoomed past trucks,
waving i told you so!
and somewhere
rains fill a dry African wadi;
drowning some life, feeding others.
a rill of water chasing dust.
one thing on top of another.
